Alessandro Pisapia is currently an assistant professor at the Pegaso University and a lecturer at the University of Salerno, where he teaches the course “Theory of Buildings in Seismic Areas” with Prof. Vincenzo Piluso. Previously, he was a researcher in Structural Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Salerno until to 2023.
He received a Master’s Degree in Building Engineering–Architecture in 2017 and a PhD in Structural Engineering in 2021, both from the University of Salerno. Pisapia has authored journal papers, conference papers, and scientific reports. His main research areas include:
- The study of reliability methods in structural applications;
- The control of collapse mechanisms in steel structures through the rigorous application of Capacity Design;
- The study of local buckling effects on the ultimate behavior of aluminum and steel members.
